The Lunar 100 targets on the Moon were first described by Charles Wood in Sky & Telescope in April 2004.
Note that Patrick Moore's Caldwell List was also first described in Sky & Telescope and grew much to Patrick's amazement. It seems that Charles Wood has hit a similar astronomers' hot-spot with the Lunar 100.
